President's Message

Dear Guild Members,

Solano Stroll

Our outreach event is this Sunday, September 14th 10:00 am to 5:00 pm

Our booth is at 1685 Solano Avenue, next to Akemi Restaurant. Come if you can and help us Talk Fiber.

Our Golden Gate Weaver cards for the Stroll came back from the printer and look great! Eight (8) different shots of weaving pieces. If you would like some to give to friends please let me know. They are a wonderful conversation starter.

Cards (fronts & back). A big thank you to Lonnie for designing the cards and having them printed.

Solano Stroll preparations

Pictures of the goings-on with preparations and booth mock-up for the Stroll. We'll be using a 10' x 10' tented booth with a "pull-up banner" designed by Lonnie.

September Guild Meeting

Hopefully, by now, you know that we will be meeting on Monday, September 22nd. Next month, we will go back to the regular 3rd Monday of the month for our guild meetings. Please see below for other guild meeting dates at the Berkeley Senior Center.

For our first Fall meeting, please join us to share what you have been creating during the summer hiatus. It could be weaving, dyeing, or maybe something else that you’re still working on. It’s All of interest.

It will be good to get back in touch with you as a guild.

Happy Weaving. ~ Vicky

June Guild Meeting - Picnic and Auction

We had a wonderful get-together in Tilden Park on June 16th. In addition to the lovely potluck food items, members donated beautiful fiber, including alpaca, cashmere, and silk. We raised $185 in the auction. Thank you to everyone who donated fiber and items, as well as the people who bought them.

Here are some photos of the event, including Sandy's plastic bags runner, Susie as auctioneer, and Guild members under the trees.
