President's Message
Dear Fellow Weavers,
The annual June picnic and Auction is coming up. This year we will have it on the third Monday of the month, June 16th.
Regular time, 10:00 am and the usual location, Tilden Park at the base of Canon Drive where it meets Central Park Dr.. See map below.
Auction
Bring extra yarns, threads and/or weaving equipment that you are willing to donate to the auction. All proceeds from the auction will go back into our GGWG Programs fund.
This year will be a Potluck picnic. Please bring something you would like to share:
Fresh cut fruit, a light salad or baked goods.
And your own reusable plate & utensils.
I will supply drinks- water, and a light tea.
There will be some updated information regarding the June study group.
Recent road repairs near Susie’s home may affect our access that day.

The Golden Gate Weavers Guild meets the third Monday of the month, 10:00am to Noon in the Gooseberry Room, at the North Berkeley Senior Center, 1901 Hearst Ave, or on Zoom. No meetings in July, August and December.
Study Group
The Study Group meets Saturday, June 28th, 10 AM at Susie Hodges' house, 1272 Queens Rd, Berkeley
We will Space Dye Cotton Yarn, continued, in the front yard patio. Bring:
-
COTTON YARN: clean skeins or 1'- 2" warp chains. Tie loose figure-8 trouble ties along yarns to avoid tangles. Tie off the beginning and end of warp chains and make a loose tie around the cross.

Any of the following equipment that you have:
-
Plastic bucket
-
Flat basin or kitty litter box, or foil roasting pan from the grocery store
-
Plastic wrap
-
Plastic drink cups.

We will pour the dye on the skeins with the cups or with other applicators like car sponges, turkey basters, and nylon brushes.
Instruction sheets, dyes, and soda ash will be provided.
Get Togethers
Date: Monday, July 7th, 1:00 - 3:00 pm
An informal gathering and an opportunity for Show and Tell.
Get Togethers are on the first Monday of the month, 1:00 - 3:00 pm in the Gooseberry Room, at the North Berkeley Senior Center, 1901 Hearst Ave.
