Golden Gate Weavers Guild
Newsletter March 2023
Dear Guild Members,
Doing our monthly newsletter by email this month.
We will be meeting on Monday March 20th, IN-PERSON at the Berkeley Senior Center in the Gooseberry Room, 10-Noon.
There is no set speaker or program planned.
Please bring any finishing work you may have, or maybe a study group project you want to continue working on and developing. Even if you have nothing to work on yourself, come anyway! Chances are excellent that you will be inspired. Our Library and bookshelf is now together again with books and magazines to peruse.
For this informal gathering if you have a new Book to share with our members please bring it. A new tool or technique - also welcome.
Come and take a look at the GGW banners we are preparing to hang in our meeting room. One is from a past CNCH exhibit from 1984 that won Most Elaborate Banner.

The other GGW banner I found was made by a man demonstrating to guild members a South-Asian technique of wool-wrapping on rattan fibers. The Senior Center is very happy to have this art displayed on the walls of our meeting room. It's going to look great!
Look forward to seeing all that can come. ~ Vicky
STUDY GROUP MEETS MARCH 25, FOURTH SATURDAY, 10 AM, at Susie Hodges' house, 1272 Queens Rd, Berkeley. We will work on YARN MADE FROM RECYCLED MATERIALS. Bring any yarn you are making and ideas you have for using it in a project. Or, bring a current project to work on.
To continue to make recycled yarn, bring old socks, yardage scraps, and used clothing like jeans and shirts. Bring scissors, a straight edge, and an olfa cutter and mat if you have them.
